The Studio Arts major presents two choices of degree paths, Studio Arts and Studio Arts in Arts Education. Students can pursue either a B.S. or a B.A. degree. Both paths include instruction in specific technical skills, application of theory and conceptual development encouraging personal direction in preparation for professional practice and/or graduate study.

For each emphasis, the student completes the System Requirements (30 credit hours), Institutional Requirements (8-9 credit hours) and the Department's Reviews; Visual Arts Core of studio courses and art history courses, and ARTH Advanced Writing Requirement.

Visual Arts' graduates and students can find employment in a wide array of outlets as diverse as the students themselves. Students and graduates can pursue employment as freelance artists, art educators, graphic designers, or animators.

Internships are a most valuable component of an academic program. Students are encouraged to explore internship experiences independently or work with faculty on earning credit toward their degree. Students and graduates often find both internships and employment in fine arts, graphic design, and art education. Listed below are just a few of the places Visual Arts' experiences have taken students and graduates.

    USA requirements for international students

Each university in the Unites States of America sets its own admission standards so there isn't the same criteria for all the students and the university can decide which applicants meet those standards. The fee for each application is between $35 to $100.

After the selections of the universities you want to attend, the best of all would be to contact each university for an application form and more admission information for the international students. Moreover, for a graduate or postgraduate program it's necessary to verify the admission requirements. Some programs require that you send your application directly to their department.

Admissions decisions are based on students's academic record and different test scores, such as TOEFL, the SAT or ACT (for undergraduate programs) and GRE or GMAT (for graduate programs). Admission decision is based on your academic results and motivation.
